An operation in Sopore's Gujjarpatti Zaloora area, Jammu and Kashmir, ended on Tuesday without apprehending any militants. Sepoy Pangala Kartheek was sadly killed in an exchange of fire at a militant hideaway on Monday during the raid, which was launched three days earlier based on particular intelligence.
Despite a thorough search effort conducted by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the CRPF in Zaloora's deep woodlands, the terrorists escaped. Vidhi Kumar Birdhi, the Kashmir Inspector General of Police (IGP), said the operation was called off late Monday night.
"The operation was intended to demolish a militant hideaway. During the exchange, one army jawan suffered serious injuries and was killed. "The operation has now ended," IGP Birdhi stated.
Earlier, the Army announced the operation on its official X Twitter, underlining its commitment to regional security. Sepoy Kartheek's terrible death and footage of his body circulated online, causing authorities to issue a caution warning against publishing sensitive information that could jeopardize state security.
Authorities have asked people to avoid irresponsible behaviour, warning against the spread of unsubstantiated information regarding the tragedy.
