Army’s 20-day Nako cycle expedition ends in Ambala

The Indian Army's Airawat Division completed its "Nako Cycle Expedition" in Ambala on Tuesday, capping off an epic 20-day ride that travelled 620 kilometres throughout Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. Lieutenant General Rajesh Pushkar, General Officer Commanding Kharga Corps, launched off the journey on September 26 with a team of 45 Cavalry riders.

This adventurous journey took the riders through stunning landscapes and culturally rich regions, including historic cities like Nako, Somling, Batal, Manali, Mandi, Bilaspur, and Ambala. The voyage was intended to instil a sense of nationalism and adventure in young people while enhancing the Indian Army's relationship with veterans in the region.

Throughout the voyage, the riders actively engaged with local communities, learning about regional traditions and sharing insights about the Indian Army's role. This educational exchange raised awareness and fostered a deeper understanding of the Army's commitment. The riders also participated in environmental conservation initiatives, underscoring the value of protecting nature.

The Nako cycle excursion not only demonstrated the Army's Cavalry unit's resilience and brotherhood but also served as a reminder of the Indian Army's commitment to instilling a spirit of solidarity and adventure among India's population.
