Army Launches Joint Anti-Infiltration Operation Along LoC In J&K's Baramulla

The Indian Army, in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, has launched a joint anti-infiltration operation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir. This action was prompted by intelligence reports of suspected infiltration efforts and is currently underway in the Uri area of Baramulla district.

According to a statement from the Indian Army's Chinar Corps, attentive troops spotted suspicious movements along the LoC and confronted the infiltrators. The terrorists responded by firing indiscriminately, prompting a successful retaliation from Indian forces. The interaction is still happening as security forces attempt to defuse the threat.

This operation comes after considerable advancements in the region. On Friday, security personnel detained a terrorist suspect in Poonch district's Surankote Sector. Two more terrorists were caught in Poonch, resulting in breakthroughs in other grenade attack cases.

According to J&K Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Anand Jain, the accused were involved in grenade assaults on temples, hospitals, and army facilities to disrupt communal peace.

The increased security measures come amid persistent threats in Jammu and Kashmir. However, our officials, with their unwavering determination, are working tirelessly to combat terrorism and protect our territory. Their relentless efforts are a testament to our resilience and commitment to peace and security.
