In a series of synchronized operations, the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, Manipur Police, and other security personnel they successfully recovered 26 guns, ammunition, and warlike supplies in Manipur. These collaborative actions, which took place in numerous districts during the previous week, reduced illegal armaments and ensured regional peace.

On October 7, soldiers achieved a significant recovery in the Gelbung region of Bishnupur district, seizing a 9mm carbine machine gun, an AK-47 rifle, a 12-bore single-barrel rifle, a 12-bore handgun, grenades, and a 2.5 kg improvised explosive device. Similar discoveries were reported in Kangvai, Churachandpur district, including locally manufactured mortars and pistols.

Further operations on October 8 in the Khelakhong region of Imphal West and on October 9 in the Champai area of Imphal East resulted in the seizure of an M16 rifle, several self-loading rifles (SLR), handguns, ammo, and grenades.

A spokeswoman for the Indian Army underscored the indispensable role of seamless cooperation among the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and local law enforcement in these operations. It is this collaborative spirit that is critical to ensuring peace and stability in Manipur.

No matter how small, each individual's contribution is a vital part of this collective effort.
