Earthquake hits Kabul, Afghanistan

An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 shaken Afghanistan early on Friday morning. The United States Geological Survey said the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 5.1 and was recorded near Charikar about 60 kilometres north of the Afghan capital, Kabul. There were no immediate reports of damage, but residents ran from their homes.
